Visiting Tuscany’s Umbria Border

The southeastern area of Tuscan meets the Umbria border, which is a great place to visit. This is a great place because the visitor is able to visit a lot of city and towns of the two regions, while remaining within those areas that are very picturesque. Basically, you have the ability to see so much more when you head to the Umbria border. This gives you the Tuscan hills and valleys, Florence, and the smaller towns that rest on the Tuscany/Umbria border.

To make all of this travel possible, you will have to rent yourself a car unless you’re going to go with a tour group. If you want to have free reign over what you do, then it is your best bet to check out a car rental service in Tuscany so that you can roam the countryside at your own will.

When visiting Umbria, many visitors have said that it feels like they are going back in time 30 to 40 years. It is because it stays relatively unchanged, but that is the way the residents and the visitors like it. There are still modern amenities at some of the hotels such as Internet. However, it is the friendly atmosphere and the overall style that gives people the feeling that they have stepped back into time.

So if you’re staying near Florence, remember that Umbria is about a 2 hour drive. There are other nearby towns such as Siena, Perugia, Arezzo, and Assisi that you must check out. Make sure you add all of these to your itinerary so that you can experience what Italy is all about. Just don’t forget to take a break and pamper yourself at one of the many thermal spas. Then again, you can always hit up a golf course or a wine tasting event.
